FAQs

Q - What is the cleaning process?

A - Our service includes a thorough cleanse of various components including grill grates, the warmer rack, flame tamers, and bottom panels. We diligently scrape, scrub, and vacuum both the interior and exterior of the grill and grill box. Our process effectively degreases and eliminates accumulated food particles, dirt, and rust debris, restoring your grill to its prime condition.

Q - How often should I have my grill cleaned?

A - Our recommendation is to have your grill deep cleaned at least twice a year to help ensure your grill operates properly and safely. If you use your grill often, then you should take advantage of our quarterly cleaning program. Having your grill cleaned on a regular basis will not only ensure your food tastes great but will help to minimize corrosion, extending the life of your investment.

Q - How long does the cleaning process take?

A - This largely depends on the size and condition of the grill. Generally, most grills take 2-3 hours but if the grill has never been thoroughly cleaned or has a significant amount of corrosion, the process will take longer.

Q - When are you available to clean my grill?

A - All cleanings are by appointment (mornings/afternoons).  We will do our best to accommodate your preferred day and time.  When scheduling, we recommend having two alternate dates in mind.

Q - What if my grill is old or in bad shape?

A - You may be surprised at what we are able to accomplish even on a grill that looks to be in bad shape. If we arrive at your home and discover the grill may be beyond the benefits of a deep clean, we will let you know what to expect and let you make the decision whether we proceed or not. Please be advised that our cleaning process will not undo the damage from corrosion and cannot remove stains from stainless steel.

Q - Do I need to be present during the cleaning service?

A - We sincerely enjoy meeting and interacting with our customers but we understand that you often have more pressing matters to attend to and are happy to service your grill whether you are home or not. If you will not be home, we kindly ask that the grill is in operable condition prior to our visit, that we have access to wherever the grill is kept, and that any dogs are secured inside. We LOVE dogs but alas, sometimes, dogs don’t love us.

Q - My grill is a stand-alone unit on wheels. Do you need to move it or take it away?

A - In most instances, we will not move your grill (except to pull it over our tarp or to give us a little more room to work with). If there is a reason to move the grill from the backyard (other work being done in the backyard for example), we can move it closer to our work trailer if needed. We will not remove your grill from your property.

Q - What will it cost to have my grill cleaned?

A - Most of our clients have made significant investments in their outdoor kitchens or grills and our service is a way to help extend the life of their investment by keeping the grill in peak condition. Our cost is based on the size and number of burners within the unit. Please call Scott at 504-329-3098 or use the form on our Contact page for details and a free quote.

Q - How does the scheduled cleaning plan work?

A - The New Orleans Grill Cleaning Company offers annual, semi-annual and quarterly cleaning programs for grill owners who are interested in regularly scheduled appointments. We will remind you a week before your scheduled cleaning (via text and/or email) to confirm the date and time of your upcoming cleaning. Semi-annual customers save 10% off each cleaning. Quarterly customers save 15% off each cleaning.

Q - What forms of payment do you accept?

A - For your convenience, we accept cash, check, credit card, and Venmo.
